With your permission, the college records your IP address, approximate country, state and city, public page paths, visit times and referring website hostname. Random browser and session identifiers connect page visits. These identifiers do not establish who you are. Form entries, query strings, passwords and precise device location are not collected by this analytics feature.
College administrators use this information to understand website traffic and popular pages. Records expire after 30 days and are removed by automatic database cleanup. IP locations are estimated using a local GeoIP database; visitor IPs are not sent to a third-party geolocation service. Shared connections, mobile networks and VPNs can produce inaccurate locations. This product includes GeoLite2 data created by MaxMind, available from MaxMind.
Analytics is optional. Declining does not affect access to the website. Your preference and random browser identifier are stored on this browser for 30 days; each tab starts a new session after 30 minutes between recorded page visits. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals prevent collection. Changing your preference stops future tracking but does not erase previously collected records before their expiry.
